S&S Equity Consulting

S&S Equity Consulting is the collaborative vision, energy, and efforts of Tajah Schall and Deb Silver. Our work is to support individuals, teams, businesses and organizations in recognizing biases and dismantling systems of oppression. Our offerings provide historical context, education, embodied discussion and emotional processing. Clients will be left with a plan of action to continue recognizing areas of privilege and marginalization, and interrupting oppression both within themselves and within the environments they move through.

  • S&S Equity Consulting’s mission is to provide anti-oppression and equity consulting, strategy, and facilitation with the core intention of deconstructing implicit bias and the impacts it has on organizations and individuals.

  • Our approach is intersectional, body-based, and trauma-informed, recognizing the importance of working with the whole human system. This includes the thinking mind, as well as the sensing body and emotional/feeling parts of the self. We believe that all oppression is connected, therefore equity work must address all forms of oppression. While some systems/isms may come to the fore at a given moment, we believe Dr. Martin Luther King’s words, “no one is free until we are all free”.

    S&S Equity Consulting’s work is collaborative and catered to the needs, goals, and intentions of the client with a focus on establishing practices and actions towards a more inclusive environment and group/community dynamic.*

    *Equity work is never finished. We do not know what we do not know until these is the opportunity expand our insight. It is a lifetime commitment to examining lack of awareness to our social locations and identities. As consultants Deb & Tajah approach this work with humility and creating space for the marginalized voices, engaging from an understanding that there is always more to learn.
